During the luncheon events, a volunteer photographer is needed to caputre candid moments throughout the event. Volunteers will have the opportunity to listen to the speaker and lunch will be provided.

During the luncheon events, volunteers are needed to help with event support including light set-up and tear-down as well as guest check-in. Volunteers will have the opportunity to listen to the speaker and lunch will be provided.

Volunteer with WFYI at Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day! Families with young children are invited to join us at Central Library for a celebration of language and literacy! Activities include concerts, bilingual storytimes, games, art, meeting Daniel Tiger and more!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Production Event at Newfields in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 1! ANTIQUES ROADSHOW relies on its volunteers to make sure the day runs smoothly and that guests have a great time at the production event. The show would simply not be possible without you.

Please review the volunteer requirements to ensure you meet all criteria and can commit to the mandatory onsite training on Sunday, May 31, 4:30-6:30pm and the full production event day on Monday, June 1 from approximately 6:30am-6:30pm* before completing this form. 

On event day (June 1), although there is no stipend, volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, snacks, a ROADSHOW hat and shirt, and may have up to two items appraised! 

Volunteer Requirements

*Some volunteers may be released earlier-and some may be asked to stay slightly later. The exact release time depends on the volunteer's job and how many attendees are at the event.

WFYI is seeking photographers to capture special events, candid shoots with member families, new WFYI "gear" and member-gifts, staff and hosts, and partner engagement activities.

Photography volunteers will sssist with coordination of photographed subjects (i.e. finding a time/place to photograph a new radio host). - Consult with Marketing team to understand needed shots (Marketing staff can/will be involved in certain shoots), and align needed shots with WFYI's larger goals of diversity and inclusion. - Execute photography sessions with professionalism and positivity, understanding that they are serving as a representative of WFYI. - Upload files to WFYI space (ideally via Dropbox or Microsoft SharePoint).

Volunteer will need their own camera, lenses, and other photography materials, as well as a stable internet connection and mode of transportation to shoots. Photos can be uploaded remotely to WFYI servers and WFYI would retain permission to use, edit and distribute all images.

Once you sign up for this opportunity you will be connected with our marketing team and contacted for photography needs. 

Spend an hour or two outdoors and do some good for the environment! WFYI is searching for environmentally conscious volunteers to help our neighborhood be litter free for a cleaner environment. 

Help us lead the charge against litter around WFYI and in the public spaces in the WFYI neighborhood.

Volunteers should be independent and able to work with limited supervision and be comfortable working with light equipment.

This is an ongoing opportunity on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays each week. The start time is flexible but 9-11 is the requested opportunity time. 

Volunteers will be provided with gloves, litter grabbers and other necessary material. 

Once you sign up for this opportunity you will be contacted with information on how what day(s) and how often you are able to volunteer for this need. 

Have you ever bar tended? Worked an event where you obtained your pouring license? If so, please let us know!

WFYI occasionally has events with volunteer opportunities that require a pouring license for beer and wine. By submitting this form you will be added to the contact list and will be notified as needs arise. 

Due to taking precautions in regards to Covid-19 IRIS Program Readers are still volunteering at home. While most programs are being recorded remotely we have a handful of programs that still need a remote reader. 

We have volunteers who read from a variety of publications on a monthly basis that include local and national newspapers, online articles, magazines, chapter books, and public service announcements related to food pantry listings, library services, government services, and local events for the disabled. IRIS airs from 6 am-10 pm daily with new updated programs every week. 

If you have access to a smart phone/computer and are tech savvy this opportunity would be a good fit for you! Volunteers are needed for weekly and monthly programs.
