What’s Brewing: An Update from the CEO lunch discussion is a follow up event. Earlier this month, WFYI CEO Greg Petrowich sent out a letter regarding WFYI’s response to efforts aimed at reducing or eliminating funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. As well as attempts to undermine trust in NPR and PBS. At this lunch discussion, Greg will give key stakeholders insight into the current state of public media funding and highlight WFYI’s commitment to local journalism.
Volunteers will assist with various tasks including greeting and providing directions from parking areas, letting guests into the buliding, restocking food and drink and assist with other light set up items as needed. Walking/standing will be required for most of this volunteer opportunity.
A boxed lunch will be provided for volunteers and you are welcome to stay and participate in the discussion as well. If you stay for the discussion help with tear down/clean up is appreciated and you can expect to be done at 2 pm.
