WFYI is excited to partner with the Global Village Welcome Center in various ways. As a part of this partnership, WFYI is hosting a volunteer day to assist the center with reinstalling their exhibit pieces. Recently the welcome center has had various updates (adding an event space, new flooring, lighting etc.) and they need our help to prepare for their grand opening on October 1st!
Volunteers will help put displays back into galleries, help create object labels for the artifacts and identify items they have not logged and write a description for them. Almost all of the items that will be on display have been donated by a community member and each piece has a story! If you enjoy learning about various cultures, organizing while having fun, this opportunity is for you!
Sign up for one (or both!) shifts to help the WFYI team assist the Global Village Welcome Center!
*Please note that this opportunity will be indoors and we kindly request that you wear a mask during the duration of your volunteer shift. This is a large space that will allow for social distancing.
